Bioacoustic Therapy Case Study: Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia

Bioacoustic Sound Therapy exploratory case studies, fieldwork, and data collection research follows a framework of predetermined protocols which provide a systematized way of looking at events, collecting data, analyzing information, and reporting the results. In this case study, client reported chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.

Client is a 62 year old female social worker, employed by a children’s mental health facility in Hawaii. Two years prior to contacting us for Bioacoustic sound therapy she had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and now reports issues with extreme fatigue, exhaustion, depression, peripheral neuropathy in hands and feet, mental confusion, chest pain in upper left side, pain in left arm, right upper quad and right lower back, digestive problems – gastrointestinal and irritable bowel, and lumps under skin.  She has used massage, Chinese herbs, and medical doctors. She also reports that drinking gogi berry juice has helped her energy level, and vitamin B12 helps but makes her feel edgy.

Voice recordings were taken over the phone with the Gentner equipment while the client was in Hawaii using a landline without filters.

Tone trials were conducted in person while she was visiting a relative in Lake Tahoe.

  Findings

Voiceprints indicated:

1) the frequency equivalent of CD56 in stress – stimulates NK cells. Ref: http://www.fibromyalgiasupport.com/library/showarticle.cfm?ID=8290
“The expression of the CD69 activation marker on T cells (CD3+, CD3+CD4+, and CD3+CD8+) and on NK cells (CD45+CD56+) was significantly lower in CFS patients than in healthy subjects.” These frequency equivelants were all in the voice data “now” range, and in the muscle and neuromuscular octaves.

2) the frequency equivalent of prolactin in stress – two studies showed involvement of prolactin with differing results. Ref: http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/86/4/1672
“There was a modest inverse relationship between sleep latency and prolactin PRL and a direct relationship between sleep efficiency and PRL in FM.”
http://www.rain-tree.com/fibromyalgia.htm
“we found in FMS patients an augmented response of ACTH, a blunted response of TSH, while the prolactin response was exaggerated”

3) T3 thyroid hormone. http://www.rain-tree.com/fibromyalgia.htm “Virtually every feature of fibromyalgia corresponds to signs or symptoms associated with failed transcription regulation by thyroid hormone”

In this voiceprint chart, the root cause (RC) identified by the Bioacoustic computer software is the frequency equivalent of Hashimoto’s, and magnesium citrate. The reciprocal of this RC is identified in the voice data as a significant low frequency in the long term portion of the chart. It is also the frequency equivalent of gluten, glutathione, longissimus thoracis and Lyica, a fibromyalgia drug.

  Tone Trials

When client arrived for tone trials she was emotionally tender, teary, and described having raw feelings. After the first set of tones we took time out for her to stretch and walk around. Although she subjectively rated only one tone as high as 8 with most in the low 1-4 range, she found that she felt much better as she stood up and tuned in to her body and emotions. This surprised her because she had assumed that since she didn’t like most of the tone formulas, they weren’t having any beneficial impact. The fact that she felt so much better after listening to this first set of tone formulas indicated to her that the sounds were indeed having a noticeable and significant effect. She sat down for the next set of tone formulas with new enthusiasm.

Whole brain and environmental formulas were not well tolerated.

Based on the results of the tone trials, 12 sound formulas were programmed into a Square 2 tone box:

Each sound played for 30 seconds and the playlist repeated 3 times for a total of 18 minutes. She was to start by listening once per day.

  Results

On 10/13/07 client wrote in an email; “Thanks, felt better in the afternoon and was able to take a walk without exhaustion today. I found myself smiling after listening to the sound box this morning about 9 am.”

Unfortunately the next day a short developed in the tone box earphone plug connection. A new tone box was mailed to her in Minnesota where she was then visiting friends, but with vacation activities she didn’t start listening again until 10/22.

On 10/25/07 she emailed: “I am definitely feeling better, YEA! I wasn't tired and my hip felt progressively better until 10/21/07--but I had last listened 10/14/07and had to return the box to you. So I don't know how this relates. I was able to listen again 10/22, flew 10/23 and listened again 10/24 and today.

I initially listened 10/12/07, 10/13/07 and 10/14/07 and felt improvingly better. The most significant change was lack of exhaustion. Of course, sleeping late and not having to go to work while staying at my brothers was certainly helpful. But that hasn't always helped in the past. I was able to go for an hour walk on 10/13 and 1:75 hours 10/14 without feeling wiped out afterward. I didn't get much sleep after 10/15 and still chugged happily along. The first bit of challenge was 10/21/07 when my hip kinda made me lurch.

The new box turns on easily and then somehow, the sounds begin after some fiddling which I haven't figured out exactly figured out the pattern. I've noticed that the first two or three sounds are not comfortable and so press the forward button a number of times until I'm on to a more pleasing sound.
My hips are still unstable, and my peripheral neuropathy is still a concern. It appears though that my right hand has improved.”

  Discussion

Enzymes were indicated by the voice data to be important. Several websites were suggested for the client to get more information.

Her voice prints did suggest frequency equivalent of thyroid hormone as a major issue and perhaps root cause.
